The next project is a 1971
Datsun 240Z, that has been campaigned for years as a
road racing car. As you can see from the photos,
this car has been transformed into a partial tube
frame car, complete with the full side impact
protection. The project this winter, is to replace
all the rotten metal with new, and replace the
original drivetrain with a Ford Motorsports crate
engine, and a Tremec 5 speed transmission. The
replacement powertrain is ~200 lbs. lighter, but has
~ 200 additional horsepower. Stay Tuned!
